Four steps to kick off the build

You've approved the proposal and the care plan — thank you. Here's exactly how we move from a handshake to a working system.

  1. 1Review the agreementA short, plain-language services agreement. In it: you own the code and your data, the source is available to you anytime, there's no lock-in, and the annual fee is revisitable in good faith after year one. Available in the client portal.
  2. 2Sign — both partiesWe countersign electronically through DocuSign; nothing needs to be printed.
  3. 3Kick off with the setup deposit50% of the one-time setup ($9,250) starts the build and reserves the schedule.
  4. 4Send your current FileMaker backupSo we can migrate your real records — projects, reports, time cards, and photos — from 2023 through today.

The journey, end to end

  1. Proposal delivered

    Complete

The full platform proposal — scope, a tour of the working system with real screenshots, a phased timeline, and pricing.

  2. Proposal approved

    Complete

JCM reviewed and approved the scope and the $4,200/year care plan, with a green light to move forward as long-term partners.

"Fair and reasonable — happy to move forward. Looking forward to working together for years to come."
  3. 3

    Agreement & signatures

    In progress

A concise services agreement in plain language: you own the code and data, source available anytime, no lock-in, and the fee revisitable after year one. Ready for your review in the client portal.

  4. 4

    Kickoff & deposit

    Next

The 50% setup deposit starts the build and locks in your place on the schedule.

  5. 5

    Data migration

    Upcoming

We move your live FileMaker records — projects, inspection reports, time cards, and photos — into the new platform, so you start with your real history, not a blank slate.

    Needs your current backup
  6. 6

    Build & configuration

    Upcoming

The core platform is already built and running: projects, all inspection report types, time cards, daily work, invoicing, waivers, the client portal, one-click PDF, and digital signatures. This stage tailors it to JCM and adds your remaining forms.

Head start · core already built
  7. 7

    Testing & QA

    Upcoming

Every screen and the full report workflow are covered by automated tests (33 passing today). We run them again against your real data before anything reaches your hands.

  8. 8

    Your review & revisions

    Upcoming

You use it and send your tweak list and any missing forms. Small changes are turned around quickly — that's exactly what the care plan is for.

  9. 9

    Go-live

    Upcoming

The platform goes live on your own domain, on the web and on iPad in the field. Bank-style login, daily backups, your data.

Estimated: web platform ~6–8 weeks after kickoff · iPad-responsive screens ~2–4 weeks after. Timelines firm up once we have your data.

  10. Ongoing partnership

    Continuous

We stay your development team — responsive tweaks, new forms, and improvements over the years. Nothing set in stone; the system grows with your business.
